Some things in the book were not new to me, but were put in a way I hadn't heard yet.
For example, I knew that to make changes you needed to focus on what you wanted to achieve and what you wanted to escape from. Take weightloss: You want to achieve a healthier, more active life. To do this, you have to remind yourself of what you are escaping from: potential risk of heart attack, diabetes, etc.
One thing I never heard of was the Kaizen approach, but again, it sounds like familiar mantras I've heard before just with a different term.
Overall, the book is filled with tiny step-taking processes to help change and better your life. Nicely written with good advice.
