Credentials? One of the first things I look for when I borrow or purchase a self-help book, especially of this sort, is the author's credentials. I see "bestselling, award-winning author" and "business owner", but nothing about having a degree in psychology, which is why I wasn't surprised to find much of the information contained in this book to be regurgitated advice from dozens of other authors on the same topic, from taking care of your mental and physical wellbeing, positive thinking, taking baby steps to succeed and more.
This author takes it one step further though and includes the externals: dressing for success, glamorizing/transforming your appearance. She even throws in financial advice. So, her "fabulous you" advice literally covers the gamut from every topic already written about in a micro-version, as each chapter is short (some would say succinct). Did the author truly learn all of this through her own life experiences? If not, it would have been nice to know her sources. It would have also been lovely to learn something different. Sadly, I didn't, which is why the three stars. Overall, it was written well and may provide advice that someone somewhere may have never read before.
