I would have named this The Six Elemental Powers, but that's just me.
Journey Into The Macabre
I just don't like fiction stories that are obvious in their agendas or preachiness.
If you enjoy stories about demons, then you'll enjoy this one a lot.
The author definitely has a flair for this type of genre, but just as I would get going, enjoying the story, I'd stumble over a sentence that didn't make sense.
Example: He wore a white-dusty surcoat open in two neared his black trousers and long boots."
There was a lot to appreciate about this story.
A Simple Read for Young Teens
A lot of tense jumping, which can confuse the reading and while the dialogue is juvenile, the story has potential.
A Middle-Aged Character...
...which was a refreshing change from the typical we see in novels nowadays.
Started losing me in Chapter One
Why? Because of the infantile dialogue and writing style plus a forced plot.
This is the sappy, love-at-first sight romance novel on steroids. Everything over-the-top.
Good Conversation Starter
I enjoy reading and sharing books about individuals that are different from everyone else with my children, so when I saw this one about a deaf child, I immediately nabbed it.
