Wasn't Really Certain About This OneThe stories were okay (the typical that you find nowadays. Redundant). But for the age group it's meant for: babies, toddlers (according to the description), the writing is not reader friendly for that age-group. It's too involved. Plus, children that age tend to want to look at a lot of pictures.
While the pictures in this one were cute (the artwork was great), there was one per story and not the kind that a small child can get invested in. What I mean by that is, parents will often use the pictures to further the story and/or engage the child with questions: "What kind of animals do you see there? Did you see one that was in the story? What is that person doing? How many colors can we find? There would be no doing that with these because, while cute, they were simplistic renderings. Not a lot happening. This might fly for independent juvenile readers, but on the younger side (maybe ages 5-7). If you just "read" to your child and not engage them in the story, you may be able to bring these stories to life enough to satisfy them.
