Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of a readiness to die. ~Gilbert K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy, 1908
Another year remembering those who gave their lives so we may live ours. Thank you for your sacrifice.
"Autumn Falls" by A.R. Kingston
The quotes from other works at the head of each chapter was a nice touch. I recognized a few from reading those books (i.e. Dean Koontz).
"Anonymous" by Aaron Smith
Everyone's an author nowadays...
...but many shouldn't be.
"For the Roses" by Julie Garwood
Makes me laugh every time
This truly is one of my absolute favorite, never go without, must-have-in-my-library-always books.
...and with some editing could really be great.
"The Hockenfur Tangent"
I didn't quite know what to make of this.
Book Cover Amazing
The writing atrocious.
"Resin: Second Chance"
Started losing me in Chapter One

"The Lonely Heiress"
Too Many Negative Points...
...to push this to a 3 star book. Let's start with the characters.

Don't Expect A Lot of Action
This is the story of father and son and while a slow read, it's very poignant and well-written.
Positives and Negatives...
...which is why the 3 stars
"Rise From Slumber"
This is the sappy, love-at-first sight romance novel on steroids. Everything over-the-top.
Well, there is one new approach I've never seen used before.
The Giving Tree
A Bittersweet Tale of Love
I remember reading this book in school and liking it, but I never understood why.
Be Nice to Spiders
Easy lesson for children
This is a simple children’s story explaining how spiders can be helpful and why we should be nice to them.
