Beautiful Illustrations and More
This book, as the title suggests, it is for children up to 1st grade, yet still provides information that goes beyond just informing about the seasons and discusses the topic on more than one page.
The book tells you what season they are writing about and then goes about describing what occurs during that particular season, the weather, some examples of plants, animals and at least one example of an animal’s home and some things animals will eat. What I really liked that stood out to me compared to other similar books was 2 different aspects.
• The plants and animals they discussed in the book were labeled, not just written about.
• It used some plants and animals I had not seen used before either, so it taught something new.
Lastly, the binding of the book has held up surprisingly well considering that some of Usborne’s books that I have bought have had their binding and spine tear just from the book being dropped.
