Strength Training: How to Choose the Best Method of Training for Your Body and Your Goals | Book Review
Nicely put together for all age groups, body types, and anticipated goals, whether it's building muscle mass for doing extreme sports or simply to stave off the effects of aging (me).
The author walks individuals through what anaerobic and aerobic exercises are and how they work to strengthen muscles. She then moves through the steps: preparation to recovery. When we reach Chapter 9, she talks to the reader about nutrition: types and importance, concluding (literally) with Insoluble fiber, although she does give a concluding paragraph.
Overall, it was a wonderfully comprehensive text that will prove valuable to anyone wanting to learn more about weight training. What I would have liked to have seen was a closing chapter wrapping up the work. The way it is now, it ended too abruptly. Otherwise, well done.
