Packed with Useful Information...
...from the benefits of owning a cat, to the types of breeds to consider.
I agree with the owner about choosing a cat with a personality that works best for you, but the part about selecting a kitten that's "not too aggressive" and "not too rambunctious" should probably not have been included as many kittens will adapt to the treatment of the owner. If the owner is too aggressive or rambunctious in playing with a kitten, then that will reinforce that behavior. If the owner works with a kitten to demonstrate appropriate play, etc., it can learn.
We adopted a highly aggressive, playful kitten, but when we worked with it over a few months, those tendencies lessened. If that "shy" or "timid" kitten touches your heart, or even that "aggressive" or "rambunctious" kitten, loads of training and love will make it the perfect house mate for you.
The information on what you will need was very comprehensive. Overall, it was a well put-together "manual" for someone looking for their first kitten companion.
