There were quite a few creepy moments that could have been made creepier had they been given a little more time to develop; been a little less rushed.
For example, when Josh disappears into the sphere and when Jimmy has the car rolled back to him by his 'imaginary friend,' Eddie. Moments like that came upon me quickly and even though I was impressed at the creepy nature, I should have felt shivers race along my spine.
The book overall was written well and I really enjoyed it. It did pick up speed and by the end was a full-out runaway train.
Most authors leave it to the reader to ascertain whether there will be a sequel. This author decided to end his with "The End (or is it?)" Cute. If his second novel is as well written as this one, it will be a success.
