The artist is very good and the drawings definitely enhanced the book.
The first character, Jasmine, was an over-the-top bratty girl that really grated on the nerves and the wimpy behavior of the parents made me want to cry. I was relieved when her escapades came to a quick end, but then came Frederick, and then Brinnli. Their disappearances were interesting, but the real intrigue began with the investigation and the children's attempts to find a way out of their entrapment.
Overall, with the exception of a few mistakes, this is a well-written book that young ones will enjoy.
