Not a Typical Travel Read
I was curious about this book because my daughter has an interest in residing in South Korea when graduates. Something about the culture appeals to her.
As I read this man's work, I came to appreciate that his writing was a blend of travel guide and personal experience. Well blended also. Even though he was simply writing on his experiences in each location, it was never dull.
I really enjoyed it. When I got to the section on South Korea, I even shared bits with my daughter who was very intrigued (coffee shops and sock shops in abundance :D). If you are interested in other regions/cultures, this is definitely one of the better reads.
