New information on an old subject
The author used terms that I'd never heard before, such as paraverbal signals and proxemics.
Moreover, he provided tremendous examples using real-world scenarios to drive home his point. Although some of the information isn't new to those who've studied effective communication skills, there were some tidbits that I'd never heard or thought of before, which I'm certain will prove useful going forward.
There are only two issues that I had with this particular book. As with so many books flooding the market today, I have no clue as to this author's credentials. It wasn't provided on Amazon nor in the book itself. If I'm going to read something of this type, I would prefer to know that the person writing it has the background. The other issue is the cover. It is not at all appealing, and I nearly bypassed reading this because of that. Get a professional cover made.
Other than those points, which don't merit losing stars, it was top-notch.
