There was a lot to appreciate about this story.
It was very well-written, but just a bit more involved with so much going on...well, it's no wonder it's such a long read. The dialogue was well-done, the plot, while convoluted, did have a decent story going for it. The characters meshed well for the most part.
The reason for the four stars instead of five was the cheesy ending that fell super flat. It was as if the author realized that she needed to end the story but didn't quite know how to accomplish that. I'm not saying that, realistically, there couldn't have been a happy ending, just one better thought out would've been nice.
Overall, a good read.
