Weird Writing Style
First, the formatting in which the dialogue is part of the paragraphs.
Everyone's an author nowadays...

I didn't quite know what to make of this.
Plot good but...
...the way it was written was weird.
Two business partners. One murdered, the other accused and on the run. An explosive opening moves to a slow burn that builds until you are fairly chomping at the bit to reach the end.
No biting to transform into a Vampire in this book, rather the main character, Cole Sterling - a military doctor during the 1918 conflict with Germany - is transformed through a vile of blood injected when he's near death.
Vampires, Lycan and a wonderfully intriguing retelling of an old story.
Easily 4 Stars with a Few Adjustments
The synopsis is difficult to flesh out.

The author describes his work as a cross between Fargo and Knives Out and he's spot on, just as he was with this novel.
