I loved the depth meter on each page
The author explores the ocean from the surface to 35,838 feet down and some of the creatures that live at each depth.
Learning about Electricity
I love how this book simplifies the concept of electricity and how it is created and provided for a home or community.
Building a clock to teach a moral
Or as others might say, 'setting the scene.'
Good book but...
...weird in some places.
A Cute and Unbelievable Tale
First published in 1938, Mr. Popper's Penguins brings us an adorable story about a family that finds themselves taking care of a penguin, that soon becomes quite a few more, and what they had to do to take care of them.
I had already fallen in love with the 2002 movie of the same title, with Jim Caviezel playing the Count, that made me want to read the book. The amount of detail in this book made it magnificent.
One of the best I've read
This is a recipe book for smoothies and juicing - plain and simple.
Exceptionally creative, but...
...there were a couple of things that I couldn't quite see as being for the Young Adult targeted age group.
Difficulties from the get-go
First, there was the writing.
